Kathy Ellis - Transaction Coordinator & REALTOR®

Kathy was born and raised in New Castle County and grew up spending many summers at the Delaware beaches. She  graduated from Claymont High School and attended Goldey Beacom College, receiving an AA degree in Business.

Immediately after college, Kathy spent 5 years working as a real estate paralegal at a Wilmington law firm. She handled all aspects of the upcoming closing, including reviewing the title search, preparing the title policies, preparation of the required documents, review of the mortgage documents, completing the closing documents (HUD) and ensuring the funds on each side of the closing document were balanced.

Kathy spent the next 20 years in Customer Service working for an international chemical company. She managed a team of 18 Customer Service Representatives developing exceptional customer service skills. From both of these experiences, coupled with buying and selling 9 homes of her own, her love for real estate grew!

In 2009, she received her real estate license, and began working with Long & Foster as a Realtor and as the Admin. She then joined a real estate team with Toni Schrock and The Schrockstars! As the team developed and grew, they joined Northrop Realty, a Long & Foster Company, where they are today!
